Testimonials

Having had my son and daughter attend Clanfield Pre-school over a four year period I would highly recommend it to anyone. Not only for the children's benefit as both mine absolutely adored it and will miss it terribly. But from my point of view I'll miss it too. As we were involved in such a big way too, with parent helper days, Christmas parties, Forest School and end of year parties. I'm sad to be leaving but glad to have been a part of it.

In September (2010) our third child will be joining Clanfield Pre School and having had our other 2 very happily go to the setting there is no where else we would want to send him.

The staff go out of their way to make the children and their families feel welcome, each child is allocated two "key" staff and these staff are always on hand to speak to should you have any concerns, questions or an everyday something you need to mention (having said that I've always felt able to approach any of the staff).

I have noticed and appreciate the strong values shared with the children, simple things that should be part of every day life but are not always the case like respecting others and the things around us, tolerance and safety.

Personally I can't recommend Clanfield Pre school highly enough, our second child has severe speech delay and all the learning difficulties that come with it and when the time came to put him into pre school it was quite a wrench with the worry that he wouldn't be able to communicate his needs or wants and that he would find it too stressful, but all this worry was uncalled for as he struck up the most wonderful friendship with Jane and from day one we knew he would thoroughly enjoy his time there. He came on in leaps and bounds with the support of Jane and her ladies, the support given to our son was fabulous- he was included in everything, even playing Joseph in the nativity and by the time he left in July 2010 he was more than ready for the move to big school.

My son started at Clanfield Pre-School at the age of two and nine months. He started doing two afternoons a week and after just a few short weeks I had to increase his sessions to three and soon after that five because he absolutely loved it! He made friends with all of the children and thought the world of the staff. He enjoyed the outside area and the free playtime most of all. He grew in confidence over the two years he spent at pre-school and he still talks about it now!
